7 Nigerian Musicians Who Have Been Put Behind Bars At One Point In Time

Some of our popular music artists have had their share of troubles with the law and even some have had experience behind bars.
1. Vector
News hit the web a few years ago that “Follow Me Dey Go” rapper, Vector was arrested as a result of a dispute with his record label YSG Entertainment.  He was detained from 3pm till 10pm when his lawyers came through.
2. Oritse Femi
Popular Nigerian singer, Majemite Ekele, aka Oritsefemi, was involved in a brawl at the Quilox nightclub in Lagos and was arrested after stabbing a club bouncer with a glass cup. The singer apologised for his behaviour and was set free.
3. 2shotz
Rapper, 2shotz was according to him, illegally arrested  by The Nigeria Police of the Eti-Osa division, Lagos and he ended up spending the night at the police station.
4. Saucekid aka Sinzu
Nigerian talented rapper, Saucekid has been in jail in the US since 2016 at Ada County Jail, a medium security prison attached to the Idaho Sheriff Department. He was arrested at the Boise Airport as he was about to board a flight and was caught with a card encoding device and more than $6,000 in cash.
5. Skales
Musician, Skales was once taken into police custody along with his manager, Osagie Osarenkhoe on allegations of fraud levelled by his record label, Baseline Records.
6. Godwon
Godwon was once arrested according to a rap sheet taken from The Fort Bend/Southwest Star, a website for the The Fort Bend county jail in Texas, and was filed by a LeaAnne Klentzman back in 2009.

The report states that Godwon was arrested in Pecan Grove, TX on January 12, 2009 for ‘burglary of a habitation’, and local authorities found that the rapper gained entry into an unlocked garage and stole property. He was caught with a gold bag, a black bag and a container of candy.
7. Dammy Krane
Nigerian singer Dammy Krane has allegedly been arrested in Miami, United States for grand theft and credit card forgery. It was gathered that the singer tried to book a private jet on TapJets with a stolen card.
